The company practices SPC (Statistical Process Control) in all its manufacturing functions, in many instances by electronic machine gauging as an integral part of the manufacturing process, and in alternative situations by manual operator control with quality audit. Data storage is held
at a dedicated central computer based source within the Quality department, providing a continuous flow of information for analysis and positive action. David Bowler & Sons Ltd. in line with its policy of continuing quality improvement have recently introduced a Zero Defect programme designed to further enhance its reputation for the highest possible level of reliability in maintaining the stringent specification requirements of today's discerning customers.
The company continues to invest heavily in management and operator training to support is TQM (Total Quality Management) programme, and continues to strengthen its
links with the quality development programme associated with Southampton University.
