Transfer Tooling

This uses various individual tools (occasionally one big tool) where individual components are automatically transferred from one stage to another until the final component is produced.
The tools can be mounted into one large bed tooling area or can be mounted into a number of presses joined together with automatic feeding equipment.

Our transfer presses operate by either punching an outline (blank) of a component from a strip of material or loading pre-cut blanks in to a blank destacker. At each press stroke the blank is formed / modified and then as press rises the transfer arms move components forward along the production line to the next process stage, either an idle stage or next stage press tool.

Sensors on transfer arms ensure safe pick up and placement of parts.
